The Marin Healthcare District will discuss the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Marin General Hospital Replacement Building Project at its Board Meeting on May 14. The District will hold another public meeting in June to consider certification of the Final EIR and project approval. The FEIR and related documents are available for public review.

The public will have five opportunities to comment, with the first meeting on February 12, 2013. The new lease ensures Marin General's assets remain in the community.
Dr. Eileen Gleber, a primary care physician at West Marin Medical Center, passed away on July 31 at age 62. She was known for her dedication to patients and volunteerism. Colleagues praised her compassion and significant contributions to the community, noting her critical role in West Marin and the challenge of finding a replacement.

The Marin Healthcare District Board appointed Ann Sparkman to fill a vacant position. Sparkman, with extensive healthcare experience including roles at UCSF and Kaiser Permanente, holds a law degree from USF and a nursing degree from UCSF. Board Chairman James Clever expressed confidence in Sparkman's ability to bring valuable perspectives to advance the District's mission.
